AI Solutions & Automation

Turning real-world business problems into practical AI-powered solutions.

I work with businesses to find where AI and automation actually pay off — then design and build the system that delivers it. Business understanding, domain experience and hands-on development, from the person you talk to.

AI Solutions & Automation

Business understanding, applied to technology.

I am a lawyer by training who builds software — and that combination is the point. I understand how a business actually runs: the process, the documents, the people and the constraints. Then I build the system that improves it.

I work independently and end to end: understanding the problem, designing the solution, developing it, and integrating it with the systems already in use. You deal with one person from the first conversation through to a system your team actually uses.

I take on AI, automation and integration projects for businesses with a real process problem worth solving — not technology for its own sake.

One point of contactThe person who scopes the work is the person who builds and delivers it.
Process before stackI start from your workflow and your people, not from a technology choice.

Services

What I build for businesses.

01

AI Solutions

Practical AI-powered solutions built around a real business need — not around the technology.

02

Business Automation

Repetitive manual work turned into reliable workflows that run themselves.

03

AI-Powered Systems

Complete systems where AI is one working part of a larger business process, end to end.

04

APIs & Integrations

Your systems, services and data connected, so information stops being re-typed by hand.

05

Document & Data Processing

Documents read, parsed and turned into structured data automatically — OCR, PDF and Word processing, extraction.

06

Process Consulting

Your existing process mapped and analysed, and an honest answer on where technology will help — and where it will not.

How I Work

From your business problem to a working system.

The same six steps, whether the result is a full application or a single automated workflow.

01

Understand

We start with your business problem and your existing workflow — who does what, when, and why.

02

Analyze

I identify the bottlenecks, the repetitive tasks and where the time is actually going.

03

Design

I design a practical solution using the right combination of AI, automation and technology.

04

Build

The concept becomes a working system — not a prototype that stays a prototype.

05

Integrate

It connects to the APIs, services, data and systems you already use.

06

Improve

We test it against real use, refine it, and keep improving it.

Case Studies

Systems I designed and built end to end. Architecture and implementation details can be walked through in a call.

The Challenge

Legal work runs on documents, email and deadlines. Information sits in separate places — an inbox, a folder tree, a spreadsheet — and the path between them is walked manually: read the document, pull out the details, file it, record it, fill in the form. The same handful of steps repeats hundreds of times, and every repetition is a chance to lose time or make a mistake.

The Solution

A single working environment that brings email, files, documents, contacts and tasks together, and automates the movement between them. Incoming mail is read and classified, documents are parsed and their details extracted, structured records are updated automatically, and recurring forms are filled from data the system already holds. The result is one place to work instead of five, with the repetitive part handled by the system.

What This Project Demonstrates

End-to-end ownership of a real product: understanding an operational workflow in depth, designing an architecture around it, and building a system that is used in day-to-day work. It shows the ability to combine AI, OCR, APIs and document processing into one coherent product rather than a collection of separate scripts.

The full system and source code are proprietary and are not publicly available. Selected aspects of the project can be presented during a conversation or demonstration.

The Challenge

Field locations arrived as free text written by people: the corner of one street and another, opposite a house number, near a junction. There were no coordinates. Hundreds of these descriptions had to become an accurate, usable map — and doing it by hand is both slow and unreliable.

The Solution

A pipeline that splits the problem in two along its natural seam. Language interpretation is handed to an LLM, which reads each description and resolves what location it actually refers to. Precision is handed to code, which computes the exact point from open map data — including the geometry of street intersections — and exports a clean dataset ready to import into a mapping tool. New source data is handled through a dictionary rather than by changing code.

What This Project Demonstrates

Knowing where AI belongs in a system — and where it does not. Ambiguous human language goes to the model; anything requiring accuracy stays in deterministic code. A hybrid design that is flexible where it needs to be and exact where it matters.

The Challenge

A map is only half the job — someone still has to walk the ground with it. Working from printed lists or screenshots means writing everything twice, losing updates, and never having a reliable picture of what has already been covered.

The Solution

A progressive web app built for the actual conditions of field work. It loads the points from the existing map, opens navigation to each one directly in Waze, and lets the surveyor mark a point as found or not found with a single tap — which immediately removes it from the active map, so what remains on screen is exactly what is left to do. Results export back to a new sheet, closing the loop without any manual re-entry.

What This Project Demonstrates

Designing for the real user in the real environment — outdoors, one-handed, moving. It also completes the loop with SIGNMAP: data goes out to the field and comes back structured, with no manual step in between.

The Challenge

Periodic VAT reporting is an assembly job that repeats on a fixed deadline: gather the documents, pull the same fields out of each one, reconcile them, produce the report. Nothing about it is difficult — it is simply long, repetitive, and unforgiving of small errors.

The Solution

A desktop application that takes over the mechanical part of the cycle. It collects and processes the source documents, extracts the required values, and produces the report, turning a recurring manual routine into a repeatable process that runs the same way every period.

What This Project Demonstrates

The everyday form of automation: taking a well-defined, high-frequency business process and removing the manual work from it. Less visible than an AI feature, and often worth more.

Ways of Working

Requirements AnalysisSystem ArchitectureProduct DesignIterative Delivery
Technology should solve a problem — not create one.

The goal is not to use AI simply because it exists. The goal is to understand the problem, identify where technology can create real value, and build a solution that actually works in the real world.
